Quick Tip: If you have a goal, get an action plan

Okay, I'm going to be completely blunt here.  If you have a goal that you want to achieve, you absolutely MUST have a clear action plan.

So what is an action plan?

It's a clear set of actionable steps that you will take until you achieve your goal.

Try this action plan exercise.


  1. Take out a few sheets of paper.
  2. At the top of the page, write your Goal
  3. Now brainstorm and write down any ideas you have about things you will need to do in order to achieve your goal.  Keep going until you're out of ideas.
  4. Now Start the process again.  Write your goal at the top of a new page.
  5. Order your ideas in the order that you feel they need to be done.
You can highlight in one colour the things you need to do on a daily, weekly, monthly basis.

You can also, give each action step a date for completion.
