Today I want to share a really easy positive thinking tip with you. I use this technique in my own life, I share it with my coaching clients and I share this advice in my courses.
It's so simple yet incredibly powerful.
SPOT IT and SWAP IT
Spot it - The negative thought or negative thought cycle.
Swap it _ Swap these thoughts to something BETTER feeling.
Okay so if you're feeling really negative, It's hard to shift your thoughts to something really positive, that's why I recommend a BETTER feeling thought.
EXAMPLE: I hate my job (negative)
You could swap it for I like the income this job provides.
I have a job and I am able to look for another one if I want to...
This works much better than swapping I HATE MY JOB to I LOVE MY JOB because this statement clearly isn't true, so saying it will do nothing to make you feel more positive.
