When coaching clients want to work on goal setting, I get them to really get clear about what's important to them.
Once you know this, it's so much easier to make decisions.
For example. For me, when I think about my business, the most important thing for me is that my work fits around being home for my son.
Over the years I've been offered all kinds of opportunities. When they come up, I can simply say "what's most important to me?" If the opportunity fits, I'll take it, if it doesn't, it's an easy "No thanks"
People often say to me that family is the most important thing to them, yet they spend hardly any time with their family and when they do, it's not very pleasant.
Other people tell me the most important thing for them is building their business, yet they seem to find any excuse that takes them away from their business.
So, what's really important to you?
