Give clear instructions

Okay, so this quick tip makes such a massive difference in your life and those that you are giving instruction to.

So whether you're giving instructions to your kids, an apprentice at work, a student, an employee... Give clear instructions.

• Speak clearly and calmly
• Give clear steps they must take
• Tell them how you want it done
• Tell them when you want it done by

Here's an example

Instructions to your child.

I want you to go up to your bedroom straight away, pick up 10 things and tidy them away making sure you put the items where they belong.

Instructions to an employee.

I want you to Find the XYZ file, work through each item in the file and delete any information that is more than 3 years old, then send it to me before 4pm 

These are very basic examples.  My aim of this post is to get you thinking about how you can give instructions in a clear way in your life.
